Aaron Jolley is a multi-disciplinary artist, working between Leeds and Essex. In his latest body of work, Aaron has been exploring notions of viewpoint, as he investigates the immediate landscape of his childhood street, questioning notions of identity, masculinity and nationality as they relate to place.
Predominately a painter, his focus on colour and composition have come to define his practice, even as he begins to work with textiles, film and expanded forms of media. His work as a curator forms an important facet of his career, with recent exhibitions More is More and the Body and The Things We Do With It allowing him to tell broader stories and survey ideas.
